About the Atlanta Georgia Dome...
The Georgia Dome is home to the NFL's Atlanta Falcons and is the largest cable-supported domed stadium in the world. The Georgia Dome was the site of many events during the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games, the annual SEC Championship Game, and Super Bowls XXVIII and XXX. With a seating capacity of 71,500 for football, it also provides arena and stadium configurations that can seat 20,000 to 80,000, theater-style (8,600) and classroom (6,000)..
The Georgia Dome hosts many annual football events, such as the Atlanta Football classic, the SEC Football Championship, and the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. The Georgia Dome is also equipped to handle large non-sporting events that range from major trade shows to concerts by such entertainers as the Rolling Stones and Backstreet Boys to religious events by such ministers as Billy Graham and T.D. Jakes.
