About the CNN Center...

The CNN Centeris the world headquarters of the Cable News Network (CNN). The main news rooms and sets for the anchors of several of CNN's news channels are located in the building, which is located in downtown Atlanta, Georgia next to Centennial Olympic Park. The CNN Center is directly connected to the Philips Arena, home to the Atlanta Thrashers of the NHL, as well as the Atlanta Hawks of the NBA. MARTA rail service is provided to the CNN Center at the Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena/CNN Center station.

Atractions in the CNN Center

In addition to the main CNN newsroom, the CNN Center features a mosaic map of the world, with brass markers indicating the locations of CNN bureaus around the world. Also included is the Atrium, a food court which can accommodate up to 400 people; Primetime Events, a major event venue; and the CNN Store. CNN's multi-channel output to the world is broadcast on large screens around the center.

Tours of CNN Center

Studio tours are available and include demonstrations of the technologies such as Chroma key as well as visits to viewing galleries overlooking the newsrooms and anchors of CNN, CNN Headline News and CNN en Español. The atrium escalator that is used to transport visitors on the CNN tour is the longest freestanding escalator in the world.
